How long can the script be?+
Up to 3,000 characters per run. For a longer piece, split it into parts and run each one. The counter under the script field shows how many characters you have used, and the run button shows the price for that length, so there are no surprises.
Which voices can I pick?+
6 stock voices (Rachel, Aria, Sarah, Roger, George, Charlie), or a voice you cloned from your own recording. Each stock voice has a short description of its tone next to its name, so you can choose without trial runs.
What does a run cost?+
1 credit up to 500 characters, 2 credits up to 1,500, 4 credits up to 3,000. A cloned voice costs 2 credits up to 500 characters and 7 credits up to 3,000. At the largest credit pack's rate a short run is about $0.09. The price depends on the length of the script and on whether the voice is a stock voice or a clone, and on nothing else.
Can it read in another language?+
Yes. Pick one of 16 languages or leave the field empty. Write the script in that language for the best result. The language field is optional, and a script written in a supported language usually works without it.
Do I need a subscription for text to speech?+
Pay once with credit packs, or go monthly. Pack credits never expire. Failed runs are refunded. The price of each run shows before you start. You can create an account for free and open the tool before buying credits.
What do I get at the end?+
An MP3 file in your gallery that you can download. Your script is not overwritten, so you can run it again with another voice. If a run fails, the credits come back to your balance without a support request.
