Score Your Hook and Your Reel Before You Post
Hook and Reel Score is a craft score with timestamped fixes, not a view forecast. Upload a video of up to 90 seconds, paste an Instagram or TikTok link (up to 60 seconds), or check one hook line before you shoot. Every finding cites the second it happens.
What a score contains
Layout of a review
- Score
- An overall score out of 100, built from five parts scored out of 20: hook, pacing, on-screen text and caption, audio and visual quality.
- Findings
- Each finding cites the second it happens or quotes the line it is about.
- Hook lines
- Three new opening lines to try.
- Fixes
- One tap into a hook caption, a trim, a voiceover or an upscale in the Video Editor, each priced before you confirm.
- Hook check
- Type a hook before you shoot. You get five hook parts scored out of 20 and three rewrites for 1 credit.
- Repeat runs
- The same video gives the same score.
This is the layout of a review, not a real result. Your score is written from your own video or hook.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does Hook and Reel Score measure?
It measures craft. It scores five parts, each out of 20: the hook in the first 3 seconds, pacing, on-screen text and caption, audio and visual quality. Every finding cites the second it happens, and you get three new hook lines. It is a craft score with timestamped fixes, not a view forecast.
Is it a virality predictor?
No. People search for a virality predictor, but nothing can know from a file how a post will perform. This score reviews the video you give it and says what it sees. It does not predict views, followers or sales.
Will my video go viral?
Hook and Reel Score cannot say. A post takes off for reasons a file does not show. What it can do is point to the second where your hook loses people or your pacing drags, so you can fix it before you post.
How much does it cost?
A video or link review costs 2 credits. A hook check costs 1 credit. If a review fails, the credits are returned. Fixes are priced separately and each one shows its price before you confirm.
How long can the video be?
An upload can be up to 90 seconds. A pasted Instagram or TikTok post can be up to 60 seconds.
Can I paste a link instead of uploading?
Yes. Paste an Instagram or TikTok post link of up to 60 seconds, or upload a video. If the post cannot be read, the review fails and the credits are returned.
Does the same video get the same score?
Yes. The same video gives the same score, so a change in the score means a change in the video.
Can I check a hook before I shoot?
Yes. Type the hook line and, if you like, a caption. You get five hook parts scored out of 20, an overall score out of 100, findings that quote your line and three rewrites for 1 credit. To get 10 hooks from a topic, use the Hook generator.
What can I fix from the score?
One tap opens the fix in the Video Editor: a hook caption from one of the three new lines, a trim, a voiceover or an upscale. The results land in your Creations.
