AI Video Upscaler to 4K FAQ
What does the 4K video upscaler do?+
It raises the resolution of a video to the size you choose, up to 8K, and can raise the frame rate too. It also enhances the footage, so the result is cleaner and not just larger.
Which upscaler should I use: this one or the video enhancer?+
Use this one when you know the exact size, frame rate or tier you need. The video enhancer is the choice when you want detail restored in soft or noisy footage by a multiplier.
How is a video upscale priced?+
From 2 credits for a 10-second clip taken to 1080p. Priced per second of video, by size, frame rate and tier: the same clip costs 6 credits at 4K, 12 credits at 4K and 60 frames per second, and 60 credits at 4K in the Pro tier. You see the exact price before you run.
How long can a clip be for the 4K upscaler?+
Clips up to 60 s.
Is there a limit on what one run can cost?+
Yes. One run is limited to 500 credits. If your settings would cost more, for example 8K at a high frame rate in the Pro tier on a long clip, the request is refused before anything is charged, and you can lower a setting or trim the clip.
What does the Pro tier add?+
Pro restores the most and takes the longest. It costs more than Fast and Standard, and 10-bit and 12-bit colour need it, so choosing either is priced as Pro.
Which preset suits which footage?+
General fits most clips. UGC suits phone footage, Short series suits drama clips, AI-generated suits clips from a video model, and Old film suits restoration of classic footage.
Do I need a subscription?+
No. You can pay as you go: credit packs are one-time purchases and their credits never expire. If you would rather have a steady supply, the monthly Starter ($7.99), Creator ($19) and Pro ($49) plans refill your credits each month, and you can cancel anytime. Unused monthly credits do not roll over.
