Is the voice generator the same as text to speech?+
It uses the same tool. This page is for people who want to choose a voice or build their own, so it starts from the voice list and the voice library. Pick a voice here, then switch to the Text to speech tab and write the script. Both tabs share the same voice list.
How do I clone my voice?+
Open the My voices tab, upload a sample, confirm it is your voice and name it. The clone costs 32 credits once. A clear sample of one speaker works best, recorded in a quiet room with no music behind it.
How many voices can I keep?+
Up to 5 saved voices. Delete one to make room for another. Each voice has its own name, so a brand voice and a personal voice can sit side by side.
Do saved voices expire?+
A cloned voice that goes unused for 7 days expires. Using it in a run keeps it active. An expired voice has to be recorded again. The library marks an expired voice, and its entry is greyed out in the picker.
Can I clone someone else?+
Only with their permission. You confirm consent before the clone is made, and named real people are not accepted as voices. If you are not sure you have the right to use a voice, do not clone it.
Do I need a subscription?+
Pay once with credit packs, or go monthly. Pack credits never expire. Failed runs are refunded. Cloned voice runs cost 2 credits up to 500 characters. Stock voices are cheaper per run than cloned ones, so you can test a script in a stock voice first.
