AI Foley Sound Generator FAQ
What is the AI foley sound generator?+
It makes sound effects from a text prompt. You describe the sound, choose how long it runs and how many takes you want, and it returns an audio file for each take.
How does it differ from the sound effects generator in the audio editor?+
The audio editor’s sound effects tool is the quick, single-result option. The foley generator gives you several takes per run, longer sounds, a negative prompt and a choice of file format.
How much does a sound effect cost?+
From 4 credits for one 10-second sound. Priced per second of sound and per version: two 10-second versions cost 7 credits, and one 60-second sound costs 19 credits. You see the exact price before you run.
How long can a sound be?+
Sounds up to 600 s (10 minutes).
Why would I ask for more than one take?+
The same prompt gives slightly different sounds each time. Several takes let you choose the one that sits best against the picture without writing the prompt again.
Which file format should I pick?+
WAV is lossless and the safe choice for editing. MP3 and AAC are smaller, and you can set a bitrate for them. FLAC is lossless and compressed.
Can I use the sounds in monetised videos?+
Yes. Under the terms (section 5) you may use generated sound effects in videos you publish, including monetised ones, and you should disclose AI content where a platform requires it. Running it takes an account with a verified email and credits; there is no anonymous generation. If a run fails on the provider side, the credits go back to your balance.
Do I need a subscription?+
No. You can pay as you go: credit packs are one-time purchases and their credits never expire. If you would rather have a steady supply, the monthly Starter ($7.99), Creator ($19) and Pro ($49) plans refill your credits each month, and you can cancel anytime. Unused monthly credits do not roll over.
