What you need
One product photo, or the link to a public product page. That is the whole input. Hero Shot, the product ad maker described on the AI product video ad page, turns it into a finished 6 or 8 second video ad with an optional headline, sound and voiceover. Nothing is filmed, and every choice shows its price before you start.
Step 1: get the photo right
Your product comes from your photo, so a better photo is the cheapest way to a better ad. Use a sharp photo with the whole product in frame, on a plain background, with nothing added on top: no badges, price tags or sale stickers. The video models are not asked to draw text or logos, so any text you need belongs in the headline, not in the photo.
If you only have a phone snap, clean it up first with AI product photo. If you paste a product link and the page cannot be read, upload the photo instead.
Step 2: pick the style
- Studio reveal shows the product on its own, the way a packshot does. Good for products where the shape and finish sell.
- Lifestyle puts the product in a setting. Good when the buyer needs to picture where it goes.
- In-hand has a person hold or show the product. The presenter is generated by default, or you can use one of your saved characters. Good for size and for anything people use with their hands.
If you are not sure, make the same product in two styles and compare them side by side before you spend on add-ons.
Step 3: pick the format for the placement
| Placement | Format |
|---|---|
| Reels, TikTok, Shorts and Stories | 9:16 |
| Square feed posts and marketplace galleries | 1:1 |
| Portrait feed posts | 4:5 |
| Website banners and wide video players | 16:9 |
One run makes one format. If the ad goes to two placements, make two versions rather than cropping one; a crop can cut the product off.
Step 4: choose the length and the add-ons
A 6 second ad costs 20 credits and an 8 second ad costs 26. Then add only what the placement needs:
- Headline (+2 credits): text on the video, readable with the sound off.
- Sound (+1): a sound bed under the video.
- Voiceover (+3): a spoken line about the product.
With every add-on, one ad costs at most 32 credits. Some placements never play sound. Etsy listing videos play without audio, for example, so the Etsy listing video guide skips sound and voiceover. For a store's product page, the Shopify product video guide covers the shapes that fit the gallery.
Step 5: check, then publish
The finished video lands in your Creations. Each ad is made in steps; if a step fails, the credits for that step and every step after it are returned. Before you post, compare the video with the real product: colour, proportions, and anything a buyer would notice. Inflyu makes the video files; it does not post to your ad account, so you upload them to your ad platform or store yourself.
Test more than one idea
One ad tests one idea. The Ad Copilot reads a product link and suggests five ad angles for 1 credits, marks two as a place to start, and makes one ad for each angle you tick, priced like a Product Ad. It does not predict which ad will win; only your own results show that.
When a swap is the better tool
If you already have a video that performs, keep it and change only the product. The AI video object swap puts your product into a clip you have the rights to, shot by shot, so the cuts and the motion stay.
